John Stride : Whatever Happened To John Stride?

Fantastic actor, never off screen in the seventies and eighties, now seems to have vanished completely. I havn't seen his name on telly or theatre listings for many years, can anybody shed any light, perhaps one of his daughters?

According to Stuart Baird on The Omen DVD commentary he has died sadly.

I'm a bit surprised by this. John Stride is or was a pretty well known actor, if indeed he has passed away, the details havn't appeared in the news or on film/tv websites.
Further investigation needed.

Martin Shaw interviewed on The One Show today on BBC.
He is playing the character portrayed by John Stride in The Country Girl in the West End. He mentioned that he had died.

He was familiar in the 1970s and 80s but has not made a thing in years. However despite what a few people have said, he is still alive although in poor health.
