I just saw Hors de Prix and loved it! Gad was wonderful, but it was the first time Ive ever seen him. I live in Rural Australia so I dont often get to see European cinema, and when i do its hard to gage how popular someone is in there own country. Is he like this big star? Heartthrob? Comedian? Character actor?

Yes he is a becoming a huge actor in France. He started as a comic one man show only a few years ago while acting in independent films. Now he's in some of the big production in French cinema like Chouchou, Hors de Prix, or the Valet.
