Kevin Costner : Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

He was offered the role of Bill in the Kill Bill movies, which he declined. He also blew off a good part in Django Unchained. What is the problem? Does he hate QT or something?

Save the trees. Wipe your ass with owls!

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

He doesn't.

It's just never worked out schedule-wise for him.

When he was offered Kill Bill he was working on Open Range and when he was cast in Django Unchained he was working on Hatfields & McCoys. He even said so in an interview.

I think it's worked out pretty well for both guys at the end of the day, though.

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

You don't turn down QT, though. Never a smart move.

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

OH please!!! Open Range got praises galore and Hatfields & McCoys got him an Emmy Award. Kevin never will need Tarantino!

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

Dream on.

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

It's never really worked out schedule-wise. That's really all there is to it.

Hopefully, they'll get to collaborate on something in the near future :)

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

Tarantino is a *beep* hack.

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

What part was he offered in Django? The one that eventually went to Don Johnson?

I think I'll have a large order of prognosis negative.

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

The role didn't really develope when Costner turned it down and Tarantino said he amalgamated it with another character. Tarantino said in an interview I saw that he is a big fan of Kevin's, so they may work together in the future.

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

If I was told my career would end if I didn't participate in a QT movie, I still wouldn't do it. His films are gross

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

He obviously didn't want to sit around doing 15 min dialogue scenes that don't have anything to do with anything

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

I would like to see him work with QT but he made the right decision both times.

Open Range was great and better than Kill Bill

I'll take Hatfield's and McCoy's over Django

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

It does seem stupid but just unfortunate. Tarantino's movies are better though.

Re: Why does he keep snubbing Tarantino?

I only wish he was in Django he would have killed it.
