Victor Mature : Victor Mature in Samson and Delilah (1949)

I love Samson and Delilah! Great Victor Mature and beatiful Hedy lamarr. Hedy lamar was a perfect dalileh but I really like Victor Mature in Samson and Dalileh; Victor Mature did a great job as Samson. Victor Mature as Samson is legendary. I always cry when Samson was blind and Delileh got regret, then Delileh talked with Samson's God and knew God.... sadly; he passed away.. A marvelous actor.

And to think that Burt Lancaster was almost cast as Samson... another one who was almost Samson: bodybuilder Steve Reeves, better remembered as Hercules from the 1950s and 60s peplums.

I did a review for that film as well. I probably should have written more. It was definately Victor's film

DeMille did a fantastic job working with Victor Mature and Hedy Lamarr. The chemistry between those two made the movie a biblical classic.
