Vincent Price : The Price of Fearrr
Re: The Price of Fearrr
I do enjoy that show quite a bit. Vincent Price personalized every episode by having them all involve himself directly in some way, and I thought that was a rather novel approach. It's a very original concept to have a celebrity as themselves participating in a story, as opposed to having him play a different character every episode or just provide openings and closings.
Not every episode is a gem, but the ones I've liked I've liked quite a bit. The last episode, entitled "The Man Who Hated Scenes", actually co-stars Peter Cushing, and the two actors get to have extensive back-and-forth dialogue, something even their films together never allowed.

Thanks Fritz for reply. Found your thoughts most interesting and agree about TMWHS. I thought Waxwork was most creepy, it had me hooked.

The Price of Fear is one of my personal favorites by him. I've listened to the collection more times than I can count. If you enjoy that, then you'd most likely be a big fan of "Tales of the Frightened" which was narrated by Boris Karloff in 1963. If you're not familiar with it already, I highly recommend it.
