Health & Fitness : The Double Curse of Stupidity

The Double Curse of Stupidity

Ever noticed that stupid people don't just suffer from a lack of cognitive ability, but also suffer from a lack of control of their emotions?

Is it the low brain wattage that causes the uncontrolled emotion, or the uncontrolled emotion that hinders the intellect?

Please discuss.

I actually haven't seen him get emotional though. I've detected a little butt hurt from him, but there's been no meltdown. Yet.

Let me rephrase that. Only Adlebrain is qualified to answer that question.

Re: The Double Curse of Stupidity

This is actually my field of study. It all has to do with the prefrontal cortex. Less gray matter in this region, or damage to it, results in poor planning ability and low impulse control. You'll often see this condition in compulsive gamblers, overeaters, alcoholics, and stalkers, and sometimes coming together all at once. In the neurological field this is known as "The Full Itty." There is no cure, unfortunately.

The frontal lobe is the largest lobe of the brain. The frontal lobe plays a role in regulating emotions in interpersonal relationships and social situations. These include positive (happiness, gratitude, satisfaction) as well as negative (anger, jealousy, pain, sadness) emotions.

Re: The Double Curse of Stupidity

i know u won't and can't read my post, but naaaaah

emotions are emotions, they have nothing to do with one's intellect. the stupidest people on the planet that i know usually don't even react very emotionally to anything, they're just numb and dumb shits whereas some of the smartest ones are always on the edge.

go outside more, He Cant. u sound like u are cut off from the real world entirely.
