Politics : Thanking veterans for their service.

Why is it that every time someone says they were in the military, or are in the military, someone says "thank you for your service." Why? At no time in history has there been more foreigners invading the US via illegal aliens and Middle Eastern refugees.

This country hasn't been under attack since WWII, and even that is questionable. It's been said that Pearl Harbor was staged by the government.

Soldiers serve at the pleasure of corporations. They go overseas and kill innocent civilians. So why thank them?
