This might be one of those things that actors like to do because it's an interesting challenge, not necessarily thinking it's likely to achieve much commercial success.

I think you may be right. I think they also got actors who just love to act. I know Ray Liotta is one of those guys. I heard him on a podcast once and he said he loves that he gets to "make pretend" for a living.

Yeah, this film was exceptionally well cast. I especially loved seeing Ray Liotta and Robert Davi as ruthless Mafia guys.

Ray Liotta was otherworldly. I think he stole the film in one of his best performances, in a film that no one knows, that proved he was still A-Game late in his career though underappreciated in probably his best Mob role.
