The Walking Dead : Opinions on Aye Lewis?

He's probably the most infamous IMDb troll.

I posted mainly on the Soapbox so I barely encountered him. But he seems to have a large following on TWD and GoT.

I was pretty much King of the Soapbox back then and Aye ventured onto my turf. I suspect my enemy Drew Gordon invited him as a counter attack. At that time he was mostly an Expendables troll. There was a battle of sorts which led to a face off. It ended in a standoff. Then he left the Soapbox never to return.

What were your dealings with Aye Lewis?

I had never heard of him until close to the end of the boards closing. I think his thing was to have a ton of socks. That style of fighting never really worked on twd.

The only successful sock accounts were just the funny improv socks. And only because the bigger trolls enjoyed them and allowed them to be there. I don't think Aye ever attempted to try and make a name for himself on twd board, or if he did it wasn't memorable.

I know some regs from twd had been involved with him before -that's my only experience with him, seeing people mentioning him, usually because Orson brought him up.

Frankly I had forgotten about Aye since I battled him before Ben even showed up on the Soapbox. That was probably 2014 or before.

No, most definitely not a major player. Vlad probably knew him from his time on the GoT board, but I'm just guessing. Aye was never a reg on twd or even a person of interest.

I'm not surprised that you beat him on soapbox. I heard that he mostly would attack fanboys, like big blockbuster boards. Twd would have probably been good for that except all the regs were already always attacking fanboys lol. And the soapbox didn't even have a movie or show to pick apart so i don't even know what his tactic would be there. But i didn't know him, i could be wrong about his fighting style.

I'm sure HeCant probably dealt with AyeLewis in some way, he got around a lot. People on twd knew who HC was and liked him.

Drew Gordon was a major POS who showed up as "Mr Gay" on v2 after IMDb closed it's boards. But Rouge and I were able to out him and get him banned.

He didn't like you at all. He found you far too obstinate. Meeting you properly here, I know why he felt the way he did.

I like you, though. I hope you can see that, even if I troll you sometimes. You can be a pain in the ass when you don't seem to be following the discussion, but I can see in a flame war, it's a handy tool.

He sent He Cant over to one of the boards you were on once to see if he could soften you up a bit, but when he arrived, you were being far too gay and he apparently had no appetite for getting a fight started on any of the issues you were embroiled in.

Lewis was an exceptional troll, the very best at getting under people's skin. I've never seen anybody as talented at "griefing" as him. The only criticism I could make would be he didn't have any "art" about him. He only ever wanted one reaction; annoyed frustration. Griefing is a form of trolling, it's not the only one.

Trolling is a form of entertainment that should involve you risking your own "humiliation", if necessary. You shouldn't be trying to win, that's just online arguing. You should be simply trying to create, whether it be drama, confusion, frustration, admiration, etc. There's a whole spectrum of emotion to tap into.

Most importantly, sometimes you need to be perceived to be the victim, or perhaps more accurately, somebody else to be perceived the victor, to maximise the situation.

My initial interaction with him was on the Inception board back in July, 2010. Dude was on the Expendables board at that time but popped in to tell us all he and the rest of the Expendables bird members (known as the Platoon) eradicated a troll that was well known for “terrorizing” the Inception board who found his way into the Expendables board. For whatever reason, I didn’t really take kindly to the manner in which Aye Lewis boasted about his success in eliminating the troll (I guess I find people who brag about themselves to be irritating) and decided to make my way over to the Expendables board to try and fuck with them. Aye Lewis was probably the most prominent member of that board and was my biggest adversary.

After a while, I stopped going there to act as some sort of trollish dickhead and grew to actually admire everyone on that board — Lewis in particular. Dude more or less took me under his wing and showed me the ropes on how to properly troll. He pretty much became my trolling sensei. Well… I should say it was Aye Lewis and He Can’t who were like that. But mostly Aye Lewis.

But then I left sometime around the middle of 2011 and board hopped for a few months before settling on the Dark Knight Rises board in September of that year. During my trials and tribulations fighting trolls on that board, I forgot about Aye Lewis. He became nothing more than a distant memory to me. That is until early 2012 when a representative of the Expendables 2 board showed up to announce an upcoming invasion of the Dark Knight Rises board. As soon as I found out about that, I remembered everything. I knew that what was coming was a force of destruction unlike any other and the only poster who could stop them was me.

So I prepared. I prepared for the day that I would have to fight my former teacher to protect my home and save the citizens of the Dark Knight Rises. When they finally showed up, things were rough but I managed to fend them off for a bit before my comrades came to my aid. at the 11th hour. But then the Aye Lewis and the Platoon unveiled their secret weapon. A beast. A beast name Harry Salsamix. A great mongoloid who was built to negate the affects of trolling and troll slaying. I fought with this man for days. It was incredibly taxing on my body and my psyche, but I managed to land the killing blow and send that foul creature back to hell where he belonged.

But this wasn’t the end. For now I had to contend with my former master: Aye Lewis the Magnanimous. I was weakened from my battle with Harry, and he was completely healthy and rested having watched the battle from afar. But with the power of love and the sun, I managed to vanquish him.
