Stephen King : Needful Things is his funniest book.

Needful Things is his funniest book.

The part where Brian is imagining Gaunt coming to his house to get the baseball card back had me rolling.

"Son, we've always got room for a goon."

Re: Needful Things is his funniest book.

It's a good book, and I feel very underrated. The film adaptation is wonderful black comedy.

Feel the same way

I always liked the book a lot and the movie was entertaining

Re: Needful Things is his funniest book.

I would say The Stand. Any part with The Kid in it was a laugh riot.

Re: Needful Things is his funniest book.

hmm yeah, on The Kid. That dude was insane and hilarious in a way that only insane people can be. I still, (years after reading the book), find myself quoting him as I do Annie Wilkes/another insane Stephen King character...except neither one of them feels like a 'character', kwim? The insane ones always manage to take on a life of their own.
