"Harry and Tonto" is a beautiful film that everyone should see. I can't imagine anyone not loving it.

Everyone I know who actually has seen liked it very much, but getting people to give it a chance is the hard part.

I don't get that. It has a great cast, including Ellen Byrsten, and Art Carney won the Best Actor Oscar for it. To say nothing of his wonderful, wonderful cat, Tonto. Oh, man, now you've got me wanting to see it again! Hope I can find it somewhere.

I encourage everyone to watch it! It's a joy.

It even has a good rating on IMDB, but again, people nowadays skip over it. And the movie with Pacino and Hackman (coming after Godfather and an Oscar for French Connection), "Scarecrow" - another road movie!
