Milton Berle : Milton Berle's illegitimate son??

Milton Berle's illegitimate son??

In Milton Berle's autobiography "Milton Berle" (1974) he mentions meeting a starlet (later to make several movies and marry a pretty big producer at a major studio) in 1937 who he would become involved with and who would have his son. He gives her a false name of Linda Smith and the producer she married a false name of Jed Weston. He says the son's name is Laurence Joseph "Weston".....Larry. "Jed Weston" assumed this son, born in 1939, was his, but it was Milton Berle's son. The birth of this child was big enou 2000 gh news that it was on the front page of The New York Daily News with a picture of the mother, child and the supposed father, Jed Weston. "Linda Smith" was released from her studio contract in 1946 due to alcoholism. "Jed Weston" died in the Fall of 1953. What are the real names of these people? There is even a real picture of "Linda Smith" in Berle's autobiography, but I can't place the woman. Berle also mentions that his son grows up to be a producer of TV programs in the 1970's and was pretty successful at it. Who is this man? Can anyone solve this mystery?

Re: Milton Berle's illegitimate son??

According to wikipedia, James Kormack was widely believed to be Berle's son.

I'll have to look into this again at another time.

Re: Milton Berle's illegitimate son??

Years ago maybe when he was promoting his book I heard him say that after his death he would have it released who his real son was.

He died and I never did hear who his son was.

Re: Milton Berle's illegitimate son??

James Komack was born in 1924 not 1939.

I suppose Berle could have played with the timeline.
