Jennifer Aniston: ‘There’s a Whole Generation of People’ Who Now Find ‘Friends’ ‘Offensive’

Jennifer Aniston is weighing in on the evolution of comedy.

The “Friends” alum addressed how the world has changed since the 1990s sitcom aired. “There’s a whole generation of people, kids, who are now going back to episodes of ‘Friends’ and find them offensive,” Aniston told the Associated Foreign Press (via Yahoo!).

“There were things that were never intentional and others…well, we should have thought it through, but I don’t think there was a sensitivity like there is now,” Aniston added.

“Friends” has been criticized for its lack of diversity. The series aired from 1994 to 2004.

“Comedy has evolved, movies have evolved,” Aniston shared. “Now it’s a little tricky because you have to be very careful, which makes it really hard for comedians, because the beauty of comedy is that we make fun of ourselves, make fun of life.

She's now old but have you seen her deepfakes? They're hot!

Remember how the oldies thought that someone slipping over on a banana skin was funny? My my how things have changed.

Re: Jennifer Aniston: ‘There’s a Whole Generation of People’ Who Now Find ‘Frien

Quality comedy never gets old. There are plenty of movies made that will always endure.

Not to liberals, of course, who are in a state of perpetual angst over anything that doesn't adhere to their bizarre ideology of hatred and intolerance.

Offensively bad.

Yet the loonies who get offended over Friends reruns literally support ending the world in nuclear Hellfire over Ukraine and Taiwan.

That is nothing new.
It ALWAYS was even when it was still on.
Which makes no fucking sense.
Why not go after Good Times or Sanford and Son and other black centered shows where they didn't have an equal number of white friends around all the time?
Also are we supposed to believe that there is always a black among six white friends?

Yeah, they definitely needed a token black to create “diversity.” I feel that would have been even more offensive. How come this same criticism is never leveled at Seinfeld?

Besides, I’m looking at the rest of the cast here and seeing at least one black, one Asian, and a whole bunch of Wop-ish, swarthy looking Jews and Italians. That should be enough diversity for everyone.

Yeah, if they had a black he would have been token.
And the race critics would still not be OK with that!

Or Brady Bunch, Gil. Island or any other number of white only casts?
I don't get that either.

Or Two and a Half Men.
And have you heard of this channel BET?
Imagine if there was a WET for us Caucasians.

Good points!

Not that BET is racist.
I just don't get it how one side can get away with being all racial/inclusive of their kind and not the other with accusations of being racist.
While there is still oppression and violence of blacks, there is still that of all races that gets overlooked, so why do blacks get the favoritism or the cries for having all the breaks when they have come such a long way in entertainment?
What is there still left for them to cry and complain about?
You got your channel.
Now shut up and let us have ours.

That doesn't mean they are right. "Friends" was good for it's time.
