Stephen King : I wrote a book

I've been trying to publish for years. Sadly I found out a couple years ago that some things piggy back of Mr. King. The title, and one of the main characters names. The title I tried to switch around, but the name I couldn't. The name in my book is of a guy I know. The name in Kings book came out in 75. Years before I was born. I had no idea Mr. King even wrote that character. It sucks for me because all the agents I pitched to think I stole ideas from Mr. King even though I didn't. Hard to get that book on the market.
