Princess Diana : I never . . .

I never . . .

. . . have been able to determine what drew, still draws, people to Diana. I never noticed anything about her to be special or extraordinarily praiseworthy, but there were more than a few negative issues. But what's worse is, we can't get any stories on Kate Middleton in which she doesn't share space with Diana. Her wedding coverage was overly full of comparisons to the elder one. So's her fashion, her pregnancy, etc. Comparing the new Price George to his father's infancy does make a little sense, but that's because of the father-son angle, NOT the grandmother he'll never meet. Too bad that nothing Kate does gets her out of the mother-in-law shadow-- a dead mother-in-law.

Re: I never . . .

On the positive side, for a number of reasons Diana meant a lot to many people, but on the negative side the press (especially tabloid rags) realize money can still be made just by running photos or stories about her.

It's all about money.
