How would electric cars work in masse

There have been several times I've driven through rural stretches of the highway, with less than 5 kilos/miles left, and I panicked knowing I'd have to get off at the next exit where there's a service station right off the ramp, and hoping one comes soon. I've made it there with 1 kilo/mile left before.

How would this realistically work if you're driving through the country and your car has 3% battery left?

Rural towns with mobile homes typically don't have charging stations off the ramp as service stations. Charging stations aren't a place you can hope to run into on a whim like gas stations.

Driving, as of now, with gas, is spontaneous: we don't need look at our fuel gauge prior to departure to verify we have enough gas to make our trip. We are comfortable knowing we can fill it up at any time en route to our destination.

With electronic vehicles, what I gather now is, we would have to check our battery percentage before each trip to verify we have enough to make it. We'd really have to check for long road trips, and probably look up ahead of time where the charging stations are on the way to our destination.

This would be no fun at all. With gas you can just get in and go anywhere you want without even looking until it tells you you're low, then get gas right then and there. It would be an absolute headache to check our percentage and have to drive to charging station each time we want to charge our car.

Monster, how should I feel? Creatures lie here, looking through the window.

Electric cars are not made for like ng distance driving and wont be until battery technology is better.

Every gas station I've seen has charging stations.
But then again, I live in the 21st century.

Electric car for PE? No.

PE, electric cars wouldn't work for you at all because you obviously have very poor math skills and are way too stupid. Most people know they need to fill up before you get so close to running out of fuel.

Electric cars would be even more difficult for you.

You fill up AS you are about run out of fuel. When you are at a quarter of a tank, or when your low fuel light comes on, that is when you stop for gas. This is typical; everyone knows this.

Everyone has a story where they've almost run out of gas: they're driving through the country roads, they missed their intended exit and the next one is several miles ahead, what have you. It happens. This is typical; everyone knows this.

The same luxury is not afforded to an electric vehicle, as I gather, you cannot risk driving at 3% battery with the convenience of finding a charging station on time. Would you say that is correct?

What this means is, drivers would have to check where their electric vehicle's battery is at before they leave the house, to make sure they have enough charge to reach their destination. A trip to the grocery store, I'm at 20%, yeah it should be good. Would you say this is correct?

The same is *not* true for gas vehicles. Drivers do not need to check where their fuel gauge is at before they leave their house. We know where we left it off at the last time we parked, and we know we can fill it up on the way to our destination as we will pass several gas stations.

Electric vehicles would be great in theory, however, I have never seen a car being charged while driving. I've passed several gas stations. I have never seen someone plug their car in at the side of the road. That's a problem. Where do you go, the dealership? Any dealership?

Say you're visiting the Whittakers in Odd, West Virginia. They live in the middle of the middle of nowhere. You literally drive 45 minutes to a toll road just to enter a town with a Walmart. Needless to say, they don't have a Whole Foods at the end of their street, and do not have a place to charge electric vehicles. You die there, you are fucking stranded.

What is your real solution to this instead of MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH CHARGE BEFORE YOU GO ANYWHERE DERRRRR

Blah, blah, blah.

You can't even manage a car with an internal combustion engine, so like I said before, the complexity of a car with batteries powering electric motors is not recommended for you.

You can't even manage a car with an internal combustion engine,

I manage it the normal way you're supposed to manage it. So yes, I manage it just fine. I already cleared that up.

Who cares if you feel it's not for me, or not.

I said statements that you can agree or disagree with.

Maybe you should just stick to driving around town.

Re: How would electric cars work in masse

I'll buy an EV when I can drive across the country on a single charge, and it takes less than 15 minutes to recharge the battery. Who wants to wait at a gas station/charging station for 4 hours to two days, depending on the charger?

Re: How would electric cars work in masse

If it be Gods will.

Poorly.

Poorly.
