Danny Kaye : HELP WITH CHILDREN'S RECORD
Re: HELP WITH CHILDREN'S RECORD
Hi... I have this record...
I am unwilling to sell it, but I may be able to convert it to a CD.
It has 8 stories on it, and it is called something like "faraway stories from far away places". I am currently at college, so i wouldnt be able to try to convert it until about thanksgiving. Are you still interested?
The only way to have a happy ending is not to tell the rest of the story. --Orson Welles.

Re: HELP WITH CHILDREN'S RECORD
Hi,
I would be interested as well. I think I may have the record around somewhere in storage but not sure. I have a three year old that would really like it. I remember listening to this as a kid in the early 70s and thought it was fantastic. When I think of all the crap out there on TV and the net this really comes to mind as something so special. Back in the day when we had less then 10 channels and using your imagination was mandatory. Thanks for posting..both of you I can send you my email as well.. Kevin

Re: HELP WITH CHILDREN'S RECORD
According to the book, Hollywood on Record, Danny Kaye is to be found on over 35 albums. Yes, there was an LP called Six Stories from Faraway Places. Although the book states it was put out by "Golden", I believe I did see it on the internet, but under the label Wonderland.
Re: HELP WITH CHILDREN'S RECORD
It can still be found, but it comes and goes. Here's an Amazon listing for it:

You can also probably "reconstruct" the album by searching enough on YouTube. Here's Nail Broth and Master of All Masters:

HELP WITH CHILDREN'S RECORD
Does anyone know what I am talking about and/ or where I can find a copy-- preferably in good condition? [Although a 40+ year old record in good condition may be a contradiction in terms.]
thanks in advance for any help--pjc
