Of course not.

Hard work alone won’t do it. You need to work smart, observe, be nice to people, make connections, learn and apply yourself.

Being in the right place at the right time, and getting lucky, has a lot to do with it also.

Those incidents are very few and far between, and have very little to do with it overall. If you don't have the right skills, you'll eventually be found out.

When it comes to working, It can be different for anyone and everyone.

I guess it really depends on the kind of work that you do, how much you get paid for it weekly, monthly, and yearly, and also how much of it you usually spend yearly.

Many people work hard their entire lives at what could be referred to as menial jobs, they aren't really, and get paid pittance. Where many white collar roles are paid top dollar and sit on their arse to make shit up and be ruthless like politicians and top dog CEOs.

I sit on my ass all day, and scurry between meetings. It's much harder and more stressful than the factory and retail work I did in my teenage years.

Most managers I know just make up shit as they go and many are riding off a wave of CV-19 hysteria to remain relevant.

Yes, mentally. Stress is a state of mind. You can't get stressed packing and stacking boxes.

If you've never had a management role, it's probably ignorant to assume you know what it entails, or how it feels to have that level of responsibility.

Of course one can, if they have a time limit and have other things that need to get done. I've worked in kitchens when there had to be a deadline due to boat transportation to the mainland. No exceptions could be made to extend the need to get things done.

And yes, I have had supervisory and management roles and also technical roles where self-awareness is key and have to work autonomously when the management won't make anyone else available due to wanting to save money.

I guess then their stresses are deserved because of what they can filter down due to their sociopathic power trips and control games.

This website is full of people bitter at the world for their own lack of success.

If management is such an easy job, why is a capitalist system paying them more highly than the junior roles? Surely the company has its pick of the entire workforce. Supply should far outstrip demand. Why add a premium to their salary?

Why would I lie and I'm certainly not bitter regarding what you refer to success because how and for whom is this measured. I am comfortable with my current role which keeps the despots at bay as much as possible.

If you want to claim me dishonest, then I guess you are on edge with others being untrustworthy around you and that is a typical management trait, because you are likely untrustworthy yourself.

Management is a necessary evil, but it can also attracts controlling, sociopathic suckhole natures and I am speaking from my own experience and perspective. I have seen many personalities do a complete backflip due to position of authority. It aint' nice!

Not just anyone, no, but most people have the capacity.

They have to be prepared to make sacrifices though. To be successful at anything these days you have to live and breathe it. You get out what you put in.

Most people aren't prepared to do that. I know I'm not. I prefer to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Some people become rich by being ruthless in business without working too hard. It’s not about working hard but how you get things done. Some people are working their hardest but still only getting by. There’s many factors involved.
