Watchmen : Anyone ever read Sam Hamm's unused movie script?

Anyone ever read Sam Hamm's unused movie script?

It's effing hilarious! I've only jumped my way through but it reads like poor fan fiction written by an enthusiastic high school student.

I liked it! I think the opening sequence with the botched hostage situation at the Statue of Liberty was an effective way to show how the heroes became disgraced and eventually outlawed. They could've even made it extra cheesy like the beginning of Mystery Men to really drive home the point how buffoonish and dunder-headed the heroes were.

I also liked the streamlined nature of the story, completely excising the entire Minutemen aspect and really focusing on the core group of heroes.

I even liked the ending with the time bubble and Adrian trying to kill Jon before he became Dr. Manhattan, only to have Dr. Manhattan save his earlier self by sacrificing his current self. Great stuff.

I can see why purists would hate it, but I found it to be a rather successful adaptation in that it was very cinematic.
