Charles Laughton : Anyone ever heard his recording of 'Pickwick Papers?'

Anyone ever heard his recording of 'Pickwick Papers?'

Well, the recording is called "Mr. Pickwick's Christmas" based on the Dickens novel.

I have the recording on an old 33 LP my grandfather owned along with a recording on the reverse side of a "Christmas Carol" with Ronald Colman as Scrooge.

He plays all the characters with orchestral accompaniment.

Sometimes things are right there, you just don't know it right away

Re: Anyone ever heard his recording of 'Pickwick Papers?'

I can top that, cause I have a set of the original 78's..Found them at Goodwill many years ago....I also have the Ronald Coleman 78's.....He does a wonderful job reading Pickwick and gives you some idea what his stage readings may have been like

It is not our abilities that make us who we are...it is our choices

That sounds really cool. You're lucky!
