George Harrison : Actors who could play George

I've seen a few of the movies made about John, Stu, John and Yoko etc. and i don't think anyone's cast the right George Harrison yet. in one movie they actually gave him blue eyes, and in another made him very ugly, which he wasn't. i've seen them get Paul and John right a couple of times, and a good Ringo, but never a George that seems like George.
the only actor i've been able to think of so far is Milo Ventimiglia because his face is kind of a similar shape, plus he has the dark eyes and hair.
anyway, who could play George Harrison?

They should just get Dhani and be done with it.

Justin Long is playing him in the new comedy "Walk Hard, the Dewey Cox Story".
It looks like a satirical film, goes from early rock & roll to the 60's and beyond. I read an article on it and the director said he called Long to see if he could do the part, and Long launched into his own already-polish George Harrison imitation, so he got the job....I saw a trailer for it on Saturday and Paul Rudd plays Lennon, and from what I saw overdoes it a touch, but maybe that was intentional....

as someone who thinks Johnny Depp could play almost any role- and he looks a LITTLe like him too. I mean, not much but there was some moment when I realized they looked SLIGHTLY similar.. something about them.. maybe just that they're both hot, but idk.

I could see Robert Schwartzman being a good bet. He would need significant vocal coaching to get the dry Liverpool accent down, but based on his facial resemblance and especially his being a talented musician already he might be convincing.

Oh I like Robert Schwartzman, I could kind of see him portraying George. But yeah, he'd need the Scouse accent. Hmm.

The best person would be Dhani, but I don't know if he acts much!

As I'm a HUGE George Harrison fan (hence the username) it's so weird that 2 of the guys you've mentioned I;ve liked in the past! And I now know why! Just cos of my infatuation with George! Any guy who looks slightly like him I will like! I had a thing for Justin Long and a huuuuge crush on Robert Scwartzman/Carmine from Rooney. I now find Eric Szmanda very attractive (Greg Sanders in CSI Las Vegas) and my boyfriend pointed out to me the other week 'He looks a bit like George doesn't he...'

Although he's a little young (but George was pretty young when they all started) I think Nicholas Hoult from Skins would be pretty good...

George's son, Dhani, could play him. He looks almost exactly like him.

Dhani's a little short to play his dad. Plus it would be just weird! It would be hard to capture George. He was very unique. So far every Beatle movie they've made has sucked bigtime. They never get the boys right.

I think Oded Fehr would be perfect---he was the guy in the Mummy and Farik on Sleeper Cell...check out his face on imdb---those eyes, those lips, those cheekbones---plus he's tall. I think he's a perfect doppleganger for the Quiet One.

Refresh my memory: who's the guy who played him in "Backbeat"? I think he looked like him. He even SOUNDED just like him.

I think Oded is too old, especially if they make a movie about the Beatles in the 60's.

The guy from Backbeat was the one with the blue eyes....if they actually gave him colored contacts it could work.

Dhani is my first choice, but it might make him feel weird to play his father in a movie.
Then again, he might feel honored.
I don't know Dhani, so I really don't know how he would feel.

Chris O'Neill played George in the movie "Backbeat". That was 1994, almost 20 years ago.

Of the four Beatles, George would be the one I'd most prefer to portray... and I do kinda look like him. I have a slender face, dark eyes, long brown hair and also the Liverpudlian accent... my friends are always associating me with a Beatle... it kinda gets annoying.

I would have to go with either Billy Crudup or Justin Long too. ;) Billy looked almost exactly like George in "Almost Famous", so I think he would be a good choice.

I agree about Dhani too. He looks SO much like his father. :D But I'm not sure if he would do it either. However, Dhani did do the motion caputre work for The Beatles Rockband. They used Dhani's image, guitar playing, and facial moments while he sang to create George's since even the developers noticed how much Dhani resembles George. They offered Dhani to do it and he agreed. I saw this recently on "The Making of The Beatles Rockband" on VH1 Classic which is still be shown through out this month. ;)
