During an interview promoting "The Fighter", Mark Wahlberg made a joke to Christian Bale about being Robin to Bale's Batman. When Bale said no, Wahlberg said "Well, I tried out for the Schumacher version." Does anyone know if this is true or was Wahlberg just joking?

Not sure but it wouldn't surprise me. Leonardo Di Caprio also auditioned and at the time he, Wahlberg and ODonnell were all young, up and coming actors (along with Matt Damon).

IMDb Trivia says Mark Wahlberg was considered for the Robin role in this movie.
