The View : I'm not upset

I'm not upset

I am not mad because Clinton lost; she didn't deserve two votes, but Trump didn't deserve one. I understand feelings of frustration because the "same ol'" D.C. insiders seem to leave many of us behind. Republicans typically favor the wealthy and Democrats advocate for the poor.
I'm not upset because you cast your vote one way and I may have cast mine differently. No I think less of you because you watched an adult mock a physically disadvantaged person and you cheered him on. He later denied it, but the tape of his speech and flailing arms proved otherwise I think less of you because he belittles Medal of Honor winners and their families and POWs who served with dignity and honor and you still support him. I think less of you because he spews racism and you think it's insightful. I think less of you because he advocates for the commission of war crimes, and you shrugged it off. I think less of you because you think trickle-down economics works; it took President Obama 6 years, fighting Congress every step of the way, to get us out of the last recession caused by it. I think less of you because you watched him demean women in the harshest of terms and you're okay with that. I think much, much less of you because I have a 10 year old daughter and he is a confessed sexual predator, who said it's fair to "inspect the goods" at beauty pageants, even for women under 18 years of age. He also said it's okay to grab a puss, and that you can do anything you want when you're in power.
As a dad, I would take great satisfaction in exacting proper attention to anyone who hurt my daughter, and I cannot imagine any dad supporting this guy. It isn't your politics that I find repulsive. It is your personal willingness to support racism, sexism, sexual deviancy, and cruelty.
Trump colludes with Russia and you still support him. He refuses to release his tax returns for fear of showing his violations of the U.S. Constitution regarding his business interests; he says that not paying taxes makes him smart and you cheer. He places restrictions on people from seven Muslim-dominated countries where no one has come to America and committed one fatal terrorist attack, yet he doesn't ban people from Saudi Arabia because of his business interests there, and you still approve. Trump tells senior members of the National Security Council to sit out the meetings, but sends his unqualified, racist advisor Bannon and you're okay with that.
You sided with a bully who demands applause and acquiescence while espousing vitriol insults towards any criticism. You cast your vote for a despot and dictator, and that is something I will never forget.
You and I will not move forward and find common ground. Trump is a self-aggrandizing coward with five military deferments who doesn't care about us, he is a disgusting human being, but the fact that you don't see him for what he is, is what will keep us apart Donald Trump is mentally unstable and unqualified to govern at any level of government, and poses a clear and present danger to the country I love. Sad.

Bingo!

May I addI'm not 'mad' that Trump is President nor 'angry', I'm scared. I'm scared of the future, and what this mad man is going to do to our country, our independence, our dignity, our pride. SCARED, and have every right to be scared.

Re: I'm not upset

I'm scared too. I'm scared of my fellow Americans who approve of fascism and cosign all that Trump and Bannon do.

I'm scared of the Republican politicians who are so power hungry they are not providing any check whatsoever of Trump's aggressions and idiotic nominations. Party over country.

As an American living in Mexico, I am afraid of the deteriorating relationship between the two countries. Some congressmen in Mexico have floated the idea of confiscating American owned properties in Mexico as retribution.

You actually didn't feel that way under Obama? The man who gloated about bypassing Congress?

You mean the GOP who have been critical of Trump ever since he announced he was running? Those people?

Deteriorating? LOL Do we really have much of a relationship with corrupt Mexico? God, I hope not. Build the wall. There is a reason we need a wall along the Mexican border.

Re: I'm not upset

Oh James, what's the use of even discussing this? The left would've preferred that corrupt Clinton get in office and "save" America.

As for Mexico wanting to confiscate American owned properties as "retribution"? Retribution for WHAT? For supporting millions of their citizens in our country? Maybe with all that seized land they could make a place to repatriate some of their citizens, ya know the ones who are in the USA illegally!

LOL Exactly. The Queen of Corruption herself would have been their choice.

Yeah, we do not owe Mexico a thing. And if Mexico is so wonderful a) why do so many people try and escape it and b) why don't liberals even move there instead of Canada?

Really? I'm ecstatic! And hopeful! And optimistic! And excited! I haven't felt this good and positive in years! I have a newfound spring in my step - seriously, I am excited to wake up every morning and hear about all the accomplishments that have already happened in this short time since the new administration has taken over - and am excited for the next four years, and beyond. It's a great and exciting time to be an American!

Re: I'm not upset

So true, if any of the other Republicans, except Fiorina, had won, we could still have had a functioning government. Instead, we got a man who is so out of league and is too dumb to realize that he is already underwater in just two weeks. I'm disappointed that those who hated Hillary also hate our country enough to turn it over to the Trump and all the evil that entails. In the past few weeks I have been impressed with some of the statements made by Rubio, Rand Paul and Graham and even Cruz. At least if they were in charge we will still be following rules and not playing a game of chicken with the nuclear powers of the world.

Re: I'm not upset

I would have taken another Bush (Jeb) over him.
