She will argue the opposite point of the left to the death. And the thing is I just don't believe her. SOMETIMES (not all the time) I think she is being contrary just to be contrary. That's what they're paying her for, I'm sure. Does anyone get this feeling? I do admire her for standing her ground even though I don't always agree with her. I prefer that over Sarah who seems nice enough but only chimes in to make a cutesy joke.

I can see what you mean. I think a lot of it is the way she comes across and argues a point. Such as her tone for something she may not care much about either way will be as forceful as her tone for an issue that she personally does care deeply about. She should learn to "pick her battles". Even if before the show they all discuss who will take what position, she should still take it down a notch for all the issues she is arguing, because otherwise it does come across that she always sounds forceful and in-your-face regardless of what the issue is.

Yes, that's what they are paying her for, but I find her less contrary than the Hasselbeck. I also don't think Whoopi and Joy tolerate her as much as they did Hasselbeck. Today, Joy said something to Jed and ended with, "and you know it!".

Well she said she didn't vote/support Trump. So it would make sense that she doesn't personally agree with everything he does. Especially as a libertarian, even if it was a normal republican instead of Trump doing all these EO's she might be personally against them.

However, she is the token republican voice on the show. Her job is to defend righty issues, just as it was for Paula Faris. Someone behind the scenes must've told her she has to be more assertive, because she seems to be more contrary on Trump things then she use to lately.

Paula Faris? That was Candace's job. I think Paula was expected to be an unbiased journalist, but you could tell that she sympathized with the right at times and was probably more of a centrist.
