Air Force One : What the hell was Agent Gibbs thinking?

What the hell was Agent Gibbs thinking?

All the terrorists are dead, no one knows that he is the traitor, so why would he give himself away like that in the end? It makes no sense.

Re: What the hell was Agent Gibbs thinking?

It's because there was only time to rescue one more person from the plane. Gibbs was going to kill everyone else on board, then rescue himself before the plane crashed.

Re: What the hell was Agent Gibbs thinking?

But how would Gibbs explain that he's the last man out of the plane?

Re: What the hell was Agent Gibbs thinking?

Simple, he tells them that the President insisted that he go first much like he did with the 3 people who left before him.

Re: What the hell was Agent Gibbs thinking?

He would just say William H. Macy was the traitor. Gibbs would say that he was able to kill Macy, but not before he shot the President.

Re: What the hell was Agent Gibbs thinking?

Plus, he blew his chance to just kill Marshall in the doorway when they struggled at first. I mean, he had his gun to the President's head.

However, then he had to piss off the President, with that "I'm getting off this plane" line.

Of course, Marshall snapped, surely thinking, "This plane?IT'S MY PLANE!!!"

"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."
