Buffy the Vampire Slayer : Best character to get a spin off series

Who would be the best character from the Buffyverse (aside from Angel) to get a spin off series. My vote goes for Oz!

Probably Faith. She seems to be the most in demand, as she had a lot to make up for, and Eliza Dushku isn't too old yet.

I feel like Faith has the most story to tell. Flashbacks of her life pre-Calling and immediately afterwards. Lots of old muck could be stirred up for stories. The whole romance with Robin Wood would be good. I kind of love them together and DB Woodside woof.

Oz would be awesome IF we got to see how his travels went when he left during season 4. And the journey of balancing his wolf side with his human would be very interesting. However, he is not particularly loquacious so maybe a novel would be better so we can see his thought process? Otherwise to really flesh him out as a main character his personality would need to change at least a little bit.

I wouldn't mind a prequel series showing a young "Ripper" Giles tearing up the world. But that would be better as a one-off. Like, a 10-12 episode arc that culminates with the death of his friend while evoking Eyghon.

A spin-off series of a band of Slayers could be cool, though it would have to be handled by Joss to be done well.

I vote for Anya! She's a how ever many thousands of years old vengeance demon. All the stuff she's seen and done in the past, endless possibilities.

I would have had Oz run into Riley and Graham and join up with them.

Definitely Faith and I would love to see a Faith spinoff now over a remake of Buffy.

And since she got mentioned in this thread a lot, I dont think Faith would be the worst pick.

But really I would watch a series about the Whistler. Heck, about Willy the Snitch.

Well, I guess a LOT of options are out of question:

- Angel - reallife actor is still busy with Bones
- Spike - reallife actor refuses on the basis of being too old for a non-agig character
- Xander - reallife actor has strong alcohol issues
- Anya - character is really dead
- Ethan Rayne - reallife actor has sadly already died

Yes, I'd watch any Buffyverse depictions these days, not necessarily a reboot but just set in the same universe.

As far as Xander goes, Nicholas Brendan has an identical twin brother who both was his stunt double for the show, and replaced him entirely for one episode in season 6, in addition to being the Xander double in the episode where Xander got split in two. If Nic has too many issues, a Xander spin-off could still be pulled off. Other than the name Kelly Donovan in the credits, no one would probably notice the difference.

In the end I loved Anya the most but I think they had already went as far as they could go with this world.

Buffy got a better final season than most shows but I wouldn't want to witness the quality sink lower which is why I still haven't read the comics.

I think Faith and Giles are the only ones who could pull it off.

Well, I don't know if you read the 'Angel: After the Fall' comic book series but Angel actually was turned human in that by Wolfram Hart and 'After the Fall' is meant to be 'Angel Season 6' so I could see that working.

Spike, on the other hand would be harder to explain unless they said they were both human.

How bout a show that takes place between Buffy S-3 and Angel S-1 called "Wesley:Rogue Demon Hunter"? It would be a hilarious spoof like Get Smart or Naked Gun

How about a prequel series involving Wesley's watcher training? Maybe we could see him face those two vampires he killed under "controlled circumstances" It could be a great comedy.
