Buffy the Vampire Slayer : Fixing Adam
Re: Fixing Adam
I would have had it be Riley, and maybe a whole army of misfit demonoids.

Re: Fixing Adam
I also would have liked to have seen the Initiative be teased out more, and better developed. Switch it around with season 5; put Dawn and Glory in season 4, with tactical support from the Initiative in the final confrontation, along with the combining spell to confront Glory (it was absurd Adam needed that kind of power to stop him, but they brushed it off for Glory). It all culminates in Buffy's death at the end of season 4. Going into season 5, Willow and Xander have visions of a place of fire, and Buffy burning; which prompts their desire to resurrect her, assuming she's in hell. Instead, it turns out that the Initiative took Buffy's remains, and Giles and Joyce convinced Riley to help sneak the body out, rather than have the government probe the body of a Slayer. The fire they saw, linked through the calling spell residual effect, was Buffy's cremation; and bringing her back is much more painful (either that, or the Initiative cloned her, and they restore Buffy's soul/consciousness to that body).

Re: Fixing Adam
Wow I like your ideas. I like how season 4 is more contained as a college themed episode and season 5 is more contained as a family themed season but your ideas about mixing them with Dawn and glory and the initiative helping fight glory. Buffy being cloned by initiative and having her soul/consciousness transferred instead of how she was resurrected in season 6 bargaining would be interesting. As would an army of demonoids like Adam. We saw forest as a demonoid which was Crazy; imagine if Graham and Mason were also just some of the people killed and used for the initiatives demonoid army. I would've liked to see Parker become a demonoid so Buffy could kill him proper.
Re: Fixing Adam
Adam apprently had the issue that he wasnt supposed to be the big bad, Walsh was.
Apparentl there was some miscommunication and they suspected the actress of Walsh wanted to leave, while in reality this wasnt true. So Adam had to take over.
But IMHO Adam is mostly unpopular simply because military quite frankly is dull. People arent teached to think, they are teached to follow orders. That makes for really stupid people.

Re: Fixing Adam
I would've preferred him as the dragon to Maggie Walsh's big bad.

Re: Fixing Adam
It wasn't that Lindsay Crouse wanted to leave. It was always the intention from the very beginning to switch over.
Re: Fixing Adam
I see some good ideas here. First off Adam suffered from speech vomit and no action. He either talked about doing big plans or had others do it for him. The robot was an unstoppable machine yet barely caused havoc. He could launch nukes or even destroy economies. The potential Adam had was wasted on trying to keep him contained just to Sunnydale Apocalypse status. Glory was elevated to world status as all dimensions would bless into one another and any none human would die. Yet Adam can only create human/demon hybreds and yammering on in confusion made him feel lackluster.
He should've been building an army, destroying nations and having the slayer with the initiative by her side trying to stop total world domination.

Re: Fixing Adam
Make him less demon and more Terminator.
Fixing Adam
For the people who do find Adam a pretty lankluster in the villain department, what changes or additions would have made to make him a better character?
