Buffy the Vampire Slayer : If Spike didn't have that amulet

If Spike didn't have that amulet

Do you think Buffy would have won the final fight in S7? Her and her army of unbelievably smug, annoying potential slayers?

Imagine if Angel hadn't accepted the offer from Wolfram and Hart. Suppose Conner hadn't been snatched by Holtz and was still a baby. Angel in this reality would never have accepted the offer. So no amulet.

Also do you think the Turok Han would have spread across the earth? How would the second front in LA consisting of just Angel, Gunn, Fred, Cordelia (who wouldn't be in a coma) Wesley and Lorne who couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag have fared against the Vampires.

IMO they'd have been curb stomped. The Vampires might have had some problems in dealing with Wolfram and Hart but TBH I think that the Vampires would have eviscerated them too.

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

I think that Buffy would have lost because they were ridiculously outnumbered and despite their new found slayer power, slayers like Amanda and a few others without names were dropping like flies.

Also, above the hellmouth we only had Andrew, a wounded Robin, Giles, Xander and Dawn stopping the vampires from roaming free around the world.

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

Guns.

Say, do you hear that? It's the sound of the Reaper..

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

Guns.

Bombs too

One of the weaknesses of buffy is how the usa government remains absent. yes there was the initiative but even they were dumbed down and operated as a secret organisation.

if marvel and dc can have the usa government play a huge role with all the super natural elements of their world. buffy should have done the same thing.

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

Explosions lol.

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

Earlier in the season Buffy still had the rocket launcher she used on the Judge.

No. They all would have been killed.

In my opinion the Senior Partners are the most powerful beings in the Buffyverse and therefore their demon army would have destroyed the vampires.

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

They would have been flattened like a bunch of ants without that amulet.

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

Unless Willow went down as the goddess no

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

The amulet was a lame deus ex machina.

I would have much more prefered if Willow would have joined the fight and slaughtered the vampire army.

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

One more reason to hate season 4 is the utterly wasted potential of the amulet.

This could've been a plot-line stretched out over half a season or more yet it was one and done within half an episode. Spike just confronts Buffy out of nowhere, gets a playground beatdown in short order and Buffy gives the amulet to Angel at the end of the episode. Every time I rewatch the series this part makes me furious.

The show strayed so much from being about vampires as it was. Here you have something which makes a vampire almost immortal and it winds up in the hands of Spike. Practically immortal day-walker Spike could've made a great season 4 big bad.

Do away with the terrible Initiative storyline and the Frankenstein villain at the end and have the gang fighting an unstoppable Spike and his gang of vampires..would've made a much better season 4 :(

Re: If Spike didn't have that amulet

You are confusing the amulet with the Ring of Amara

Oh.of course

I pay so little attention to season 4 on re-watches so I'm not surprised I confused these things.

What was the the amulet again?
