Bound : All the two women had to do was stay off
Re: All the two women had to do was stay off
and then we'd have no climactic scenes!
Re: All the two women had to do was stay off
Bear in mind, at that point, Violet had absolutely no idea if Corky had bolted with the money or not. It would be pretty easy to crack under that pressure.

At least they should have picked a phone with a softer ring tone. With that blasting sound right next to the wall they were asking for trouble.

Absolutely true. Even the most well planned ideas never get executed the way they were thought. This had its fair share of flaws and an extremely high degree of risk. I felt it shows how very nervous internally Violet was. She knew she could manipulate her way through, but she wasn't sure she could make it out since it was the mob she secretly going against, literally had to outsmart, out-con, out-think these ruthless sons of bitches at that their own game. Otherwise, it would be so easy for any of them to point a gun at her and pull the trigger. In the final 1 hour of the movie, they could have easily did it nearly 10 times. Caesar's desperation went through the roof which she didn't truly expect.
That's why she needed Corky in her head to keep her level and remind her to keep pulling everyone's strings like she has. All talent, no high stake experience. Corky, having been there, knowing what this girl's doing and how to handle it cool as ice, gave her all the support she needed to execute the plan.

I agree it was stupid, but Violet didn't know if Corky was still there or not. Of course, she got have got off sooner, but still, that was the catalyst for the real drama to begin.
Poorly Lived and Poorly Died, Poorly Buried and No One Cried
All the two women had to do was stay off
If they kept the rules to no phone calls like that they wouldn't have been caught.
Corky never would have had a reason to try to enter the apartment.
All would have gone well.
Oh well.
