My Giant : MY GIANT!?
Re: MY GIANT!?
We seem to be alone in this.

Re: MY GIANT!?
I remember seeing this movie on TV around 1999 or 2000. I saw only a little bit of it and I loved what I saw. Now I want to watch the whole of this movie, but I can't find it anywhere to rent, buy, or download. :-\

It could be possible that Lilliana couldn't admit to herself that she still loved him, because she couldn't see him, and all other pressure.

Re: MY GIANT!?
This film's most glorious and memorable moment: When it was mentioned on Friends.
"I restrict my dress-code to funny shirts and quirky disguises and this Hawaiian shirt."

Re: MY GIANT!?
I'm sorry to take this tone, but there is a lack of sentiment in this so-called culture that shows itself when people put down a film that has sentimentality in it. For pete's sake, the word has come to have a connotation of stupidness.
My Giant may not be four star, but it does have much in it that is good.
I am a person who, with my wife, watches a film almost every night of the year, over 300 of them. There are some that we watch more than once a year, and some we see more infrequently. This is over 300 viewings in a year. Our library has over 1500 films and PBS or PBS type series. We own copies of 4 Bergmans, 6 Fellinis, 17 Ealing Studios', any number of Indies, and many other good quality productions. I think we may have at least some "taste" when it comes to this stuff.
And, so, I will say here and now, I like sentiment in films, and literature, and music. Sentiment means love, and well-expressed sentiment is artistically valid.
But, alas, some people can't handle it because they can't feel. It's part of today's mind control, to make people unable to feel. Feeling is freedom of spirit.
There was much love in My Giant, from Billy Crystal, from Georghe, from Kathleen Quinlan, from the kid who played Nick, and many others.
As for the user comment titled "You should know something is wrong when a Steven Seagal cameo is the high point of a movie",
Steven Seagal was definitely NOT the high point of this film, he was an example of a person who can't feel love, put in the script to contrast with those who can.
Anybody who thinks Steven Seagal is the high point of any film, is living in a different land than mine.
