Friday Night Lights : End of Season Three made little sense

End of Season Three made little sense

No high school is ever going to get rid of a coach that led them to a state title and was seconds short of another state title. I know that Joe McCoy had a lot of clout but how is anyone going to convince members of a school board to get rid of the best coach the school has ever seen? The school board members also have to answer to the taxpayers. Coach Taylor never did anything questionable and it did not appear that he was asking for a huge salary increase. Everyone in the town was so upset at Tammy for making Luke transfer to East Dillon yet they were not outraged at the school board for ousting the best coach ever?

The whole redistricting made no sense as well. Dillon, Texas appeared to be a rural town. It seemed like they had about two restaurants and very little industry. So why would they need two high schools? How could they put taxpayers on the hook for another school? They never seemed to give a good explanation as to why East Dillon was reopened.

Re: End of Season Three made little sense

Follow the money. It was jds dad calling all the shots at that point with control over the boosters.

Re: End of Season Three made little sense

I always thought of Dillon as a small city surrounded by rural land, not a small town.

Re: End of Season Three made little sense

In a small and political town it would be possible.
