Bobby : Worst film to get Golden Globe drama nomination?

Was 2006 a very weak year? I know they're often scraping the barrell for musical/comedy with some films that aren't musical or comedy and some that aren't even good but they normally seem to have an excellent selection of dramas (from the perspective of critical scores not my personal opinion. I haven't actually seen Bobby, just observing what looks to be an an anomaly in terms of a drama that was regarded as mediocre getting nominated).

Do you always let what total strangers think of a film influence your opinion of it? I don't. How about actually watching it before asking such a question?

As for the question about "total strangers influencing my opinion of a film" I sometimes disagree with critics and don't feel obligated to like films they do, however I usually find them a reliable guide and they definitely influence what I see (critics collectively as I don't pay attention to individual reviews differing from the consensus). Also I probably won't see this, I'm not really big on political films.
