Law & Order: Special Victims Unit : When are they gonna call it quits?

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

They could cancel it right now as far as I'm concerned over the years they've gone too far too many ghosts in the closet for these characters especially detective Rollins any real police force that had people like these on it wouldn't be in business for very long and would be sued right and left for all the illegal actions they take

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

Bitch, bitch, bitch. Boy I have NEVER seen so much bitching about a television show in my life.

If, as I presume, these complaints indicate that you people are still watching it, may I ask why? Nothing better to at 9:00 on Wednesday nights? There are other channels and you could even (GASP) read a book or listen to some music.

And if you aren't watching it, well then your grapes are, how you say, sour, and those of us who still enjoy the show are really not interested.

Oh God. There's nothing more inconvenient than an old queen with a head cold!

I actually stopped watching when things changed in the show and I watch "Criminal Minds" on Wednesday nights. :) Ever since they lost everyone (Stabler, Cragen, and Munch) I have only watched a few episodes. I don't really like the new people so I don't watch anymore. I miss the dialogue between Munch and Fin, I thought they were hilarious together. I watch "SVU" on ION Television every Saturday.

I never thought of Elliot and Olivia as anything more than work partners, Elliot was married! Just because I like them doesn't mean I wanted them together. And I NEVER thought Olivia was a Lesbian. I liked them as partners just like I liked Munch and Fin as partners and I never thought of them as more than partners either just to make that clear to you too! Thanks!! :)

Wow. Someone needs to take a Zanax. It's called an opinion BITCH. You presume WRONG.

Nobody gives 2 *beep* what you think

Wrong, Nancy! Since you no longer watch the show, nobody gives 2 *beep* what you think. So just STFU!!!

not anytime soon I don't think

I have been a fan of SVU for many years and yes this show as undergone a lot of changes during its 17 years of existence, I won't deny that, every show still has its flaws and every show goes through changes. But I still love SVU and will continue to watch it until they finally decide to pull the plug on it (whenever that is).

I think it really depends on the ratings, and it is still getting decent and steady ratings even 17 years laterof course in recent years SVU's overall ratings are only a fraction of how much the show used to attract during its heydays, but it is still getting steady ratings nonetheless and it still attracts strong ratings in the all important 18-49 demographic, it's impressive considering this show has been airing for 17 years already and still going strong. Heck SVU usually gets higher ratings in the demo compared to many of the newer shows!
So I don't think NBC would cancel this show anytime soon, I can see SVU lasting for at least another few more seasonsmaybe by the 20th year mark, or maybe even more, we'll just have to wait and see.

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

Whenever they feel like it? It still gets more than enough viewers.

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

no but as long as this ship still has fuel (which it still does), then they'll sail it for as long as the fuel lastsright now they're dragging this show out for as long as it can last, as long as there are still enough people watching and looking at its ratings, I say it can still last for at least a few more seasons, it still gets strong ratings in the all important 18-49 demo.

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

I never disagreed with you on thatall I'm saying is that as long as enough people watch SVU, they will drag it out for as long as it can last and based on SVU's ratings that are still strong, I can see them making at least a few more seasons, and the actors themselves seem like they don't want the show to end anytime soon either.

As for Friends, well that may be your own opinion but that show continued to have very high ratings until the very end, I'm guessing they decided to end that show mainly because the actors eventually got tired of it and didn't want to do the show anymore.

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

Cardinal42 is still bitter about her favorite fictional tv couple breaking up Olivia Benson and Brian Cassidy to the point that she hate Warren Leight to this day and it's been over two years

Lara Croft Himiko! The First Sun Queen! This is Yamatai.

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

TLDR - but any post of yours that has "All but" in the first sentence is one I have no interest in finishing, Nancy.

Why don't you just find a board where people are actually interested in what you have to say?
Oh wait - that doesn't exist, does it ?

Re: When are they gonna call it quits?

I hope not anytime soon. Say whatever you want, the show's still entertaining to watch.
