Better Than Chocolate : Judy and Frances stole the show

I honestly would have preferred the film to focus on the relationship of this duo. Peter Outerbridge did an excellent job as did Macdonald. The chemistry was there and the storyline behind Judy's lack of acceptance was more riveting than Maggie's battle with her mother.

I completely agree Judy and Frances were my favourite couple and made the movie for me.I liked Maggie/Kim but Judy/frances just had something so sweet and lovable and it was a great way to show how TG lesbian's are as much women/lesbians as any other bio woman.

I'd actually have to agree with you on that one. As secondary characters they are more real and vivid than the main ones.

I would've said the exact same thing. I didn't even wish that they'd focused on the (boring) main characters! I was all happy cheery when the lovable couple (Frances/Judy) popped up. Couldn't stop watching!

I would watch a sitcom including those two, definitely! I think that Ann-Marie MacDonald should be doing more comedies, sitcoms - whatever! She's so clever and acts well. If you read her novel The Way The Crow Flies(and think of the protagonist as Ann-Marie herself), you can refer to the fact that she has always wanted to be a comedian. I keep watching this movie because Judy and Frances are so sweet! And look at Frances' style - so geometric and neat. COOL!

I agree. Honestly, I felt like their relationship and characters seemed more realistic and heartfelt, than that of Maggie and Kim.

They were my favorite couple. Frances was too cute. She is so my type, it isn't funny. I want her :)

Pete's awesome. Every movie I see makes me like him even more. And to think Saw 6 was the first movie I saw him in. So weird.

Does anybody have a fan mail/professional address for the the filmmakers? We should write the them and politely suggest that they write a film to revolve around Judy and Frances! and to congratulate them on writing such judgement-free, realistic characters. :)
