The Sopranos : melfi son is a little bitch loser

Your telling me hes such a coward loser that he cant just find the guy who raped his mother and beat the crap out of them. After this guy was relesed and all that. What does he got to lose? For giving him some good ass kicking that wouldent make any permanent damage. Nobody would do nothing to him. Remember the guy who who beat the crap of the guy who molested his son? Nobody charged him with anything.

I didn't like his character.

Honestly, I would not have been able to not do something to him. My only fear is that I would go too far and kill him, which would be far to merciful.

The son should have gotten involved with tony, he easily could have looked at her date book, phone book, and found TS. Not allowing tony revenge on the rapist was the worst decision the writers made.

Why would her son look in the date/phone book in the first place? I could be mistaken because it's been years since I watched the entirety of the series but as far as I recall, Melfi never told her ex-husband or son that she was seeing Tony Soprano as a patient (and if she takes her profession seriously, she is not supposed to let them know who her patients are). The only person who knew was Eliot.

While the show presented Melfi's decision as a moral one (not taking the law into her own hands), there are a number of reasons why someone like Melfi might also be hesitant to seek justice via illegal means. For one, favors from criminals like Tony Soprano often come with the expectation that they are owed and will get something in return. Tony may have not ever asked anything from Melfi in return but it certainly would have created a dependent relationship and definitely have violated standards of doctor-patient relationships. Plus Tony had already stated he had the hots for Melfi and had made advances in the past.

It's pretty obvious that the Melfi household is dictated by intellectual preeminence rather than the traditional Italian-Catholic paradigm you'd expect from their counterparts in the Soprano household. I also laughed at how Chase cast a guy who looks a lot like arthouse movie dweeb James Urbaniak. He had that Ivy League bookworm oeuvre about him and the only essence of aggressiveness you'd see out of that kid is him trying to adjust his glasses or opening a can of ginger ale.

Congratulations, you missed the whole point of the episode. Try watching again when you have the maturity to understand it.
