Re: Recast for Remake for 2016
Eh, I think these actors are all too old for the part - I believe they range from late-twenties to early thirties. I wouldn't mind them making the characters in the remake college freshman instead of high school students, but most of these actors are still out of the age range (I like my actors to be the age of the roles they actually play).
I'm trying to think of late teen/early twenties actors that would fit but I'm drawing a blank. I'm in my thirties now, so old myself lol. *
*I don't mean thirties is actually OLD, I just get sick of seeing 25 year old high school kids and 35 year old mothers of college students. Hollywood is just ridiculous.
They're coming to get you, Barbara!

Re: Recast for Remake for 2016
Mid mid-late 20s isn't old to play college freshman at all especially if they look the part or dont look distractingly too old which none of these actors do..
and if you wanted a cast of actual HS seniors or college freshman actors that can ACT and are 17-18 years old it would have to be a bunch of unknowns because there are no actors in hollywood right now with a name to draw in a crowd of a cruel intentions remake. maybe a very very small amount but theres a reason youre drawing a blank, and frankly so am i because that age isnt big in actorsessp fantastic actors. im not sure why but thats how it is. so theyd have to risk it with unknowns and maybe one familiar face or two. and unforunately i think that might suck because its a hard film to sell and make in the first place. its close to ridiculous in the 90s let alone 2016. the plot, the characters, everything. it would all have to be revamped, and done better. and with great actors that could be pulled off. but for people to even give a ceap about a remake for this specific movies, the majority of movie goers wouldnt wanna all new faces. i love new faces for remakes too. but not for something like this.and from the beginning to now, older actors usually play students. its just how it is. theyve been doing better with casting actual high school students in HS or teenagers but usually not.and if you think mid 20's to late 20's is old, you're one of the problems with how actors are seen in Hollywood and why they are afraid to age. I didnt name one actor (nor did anyone else who participated in this on the post i got the idea from ) Name any actors who looked too old even if they were not teenagers so why does it matter that much for roles that need a meaty performance?

Re: Recast for Remake for 2016
Uh, I said thirties wasn't old, I literally stated it was too old to play teenagers. I also said thirties was too young to play roles that are written for someone in their late forties to early fifties. It's a preference, and not an uncommon one, not a personal attack against Mila Kunis (married mother of one, over thirty, and a silly choice for a teen vixen). There's no shortage of competent teen actors, look at the Disney Channel.
Re: Recast for Remake for 2016
the disney channel and competent actors should not ever be in the same sentence

Re: Recast for Remake for 2016
Elizabeth Gillies could've been ideal for the role of Kathryn back in 2016, based on what i've seen of her in the remake of the tv show "Dynasty".
Recast for Remake for 2016
Katheryn- Mila Kunis or Leighton Meester
Sebastian- Ed Westwick, Shia Labeouf or Tom Felton
Anette- Elizabeth Olsen or Evan Rachel Wood
Cecile- Emma Stone or Abigail Breslin
Ronald- Alfred Enoch or Michael B Jordan
Whiches ones out of each 2 would you choose? I can't decide. Or 3 in Sebastian's Case.
Also, I'd have the relationship between Sebastian and Annette more developed so we can understand his redeeming qualities and see their relationship actually grow and make more sense so I feel worse for Sebastian at the end, and upset they can't be together. In the original they are in like 4 or 5 scenes together, most of which he's acting fake and like an a$$hole and I don't believe she would have fallen in love with him. Or that they had something so special that he would completely change so fast.
