Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Yes, I figured next week was the season finaleI may not watch because they will just show everything from the season and I'm just not interested in seeing that again. Maybe if Tamron Hall is finally back I might.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Don't any of the Browns have a tablet or a computer? When the kids skype in, it's always on a phone and it's not even a big phone.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
This is starting out to be a snooze fest.but at least it's a change of pace for an episode.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
"I scrub everything!" TOO MUCH INFORMATION
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Really!

Lol
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
My thoughts exactly. TMI!
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
how strange that comment was. He really says some very odd and inappropriate stuff. I thought the whole game was pretty awkward. Newlyweds, engaged couple, and sister wives all answering those questions. It wasn't cute or funny. Just yecchh.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
Some of these questions are really strange to have your parents answer, it's icky
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
They can't have this fun game without it turning into being about Meri.
However it is interesting that they know each other better than anyone else - I guess since they've been together the longest. I hope this game is intended in one way for Kody and Meri to realize what they have together.

Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
The producers have probably seen all the Meri hate this season on social media and places like this
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Why did they leave some of the answers out??
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
I noticed that too and wondered the same thing. I guess the answers weren't what the producers wanted.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
OK, now tonight the 2nd hour is a repeat & it's Robyn's episode.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
yeah but there's supposedly going to be some tidbits we've not seen.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Really? New stuff? I changed channels, but I guess I'll go back, but Robyn.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Well I don't think I remember Robyn and Meri going to therapy right after Robyn and Kody got married.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Yes they did, but I think the only time they talked about it was in this episode.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
I thought the game was very entertaining.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
Don't know why they ended the second episode with Robyn saying she wanted another baby. We all already know she did have another baby that just turned 1 this last week.
Tamron Hall isn't back for the finale damn it!!!!!!!!! I want to know why! She seemed to have bonded with them.

Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
I told you it was a repeat. Remember they had an episode about each wife. That was Robyn's episode. Repeat.

I think Tamron has more responsibility at NBC. She has a news program on MSNBC during the day and she's on the Today show's 3rd hour and more and more the earlier time frame. She doesn't have the time. I miss her too.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
Just started the episode and wanted to say Christine's hair looks GORGEOUS!!! I think that's her natural hair and I hate how most of the girls dye their blonde darker. Aspyns hair looks great but all the other girls hair looks really bad against their skin tone.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
They must do that so they aren't compared - 'which blonde Brown girl are you talking about'? But it is not attractive on any of them.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
Especially Mariah. The unnatural red hair hair coupled with the over-filled in eyebrows is nooooooot a good look.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode 'The Newlyweds vs The Browns' Discussion Thread
And Kody looks so much better with his hair pushed back! He should just shave it and shave his stupid goatee.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Aspen did a great job with that game- I think she should host their tell all episode
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Well to quote the Church Lady, "wasn't that special."
Overall it was a fun episode, but there were just some conveniently placed questions that were deliberately placed to address tabloid questions:
- Kody is adamant that there will not be any more wives. "I've filled my quota."
- All of Maddie and Caleb's 'practicing' paid off.
- Meri and Kody are working on their communication and things aren't as bad as it is pictured in previous episodes.
- Mariah's sullen act last week was just for the show. She seemed to be perfectly fine with her mother during the game show.
My overall impression was, thank God this miserable season is almost over.

Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
I think I agree that this hasn't been a great season but I think that's because they are running out of things to have on the show. I mean, come on, there's only so many times that TLC can fork out money for this bunch to have a wedding and it be something we all want to see. AND THEY'VE ALREADY DONE THREE NOW. I'm sure part of next season will be all about Mykelti's wedding and Maddie having her baby. I also think they've made a mistake by trying to push 2 hour episodes(not all included reruns).
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Terrie, you say that season after season. I think the stories are getting better because they're real but for some reason, the producers feel the need to overly produce and/or edit. I loved seeing Maddie's wedding and I'm starting to come around to Tony so I can't wait to see them make those stupid flowers. I don't like the 2-hour format either, but that's probably because TLC has nothing to put into those time slots. The bottom line is there's a reason they're filling those time slots with SW and that's because they have solid ratings. I don't think they are running out of things to show, it's just that some of the stories are worn out, like anything to do with Meri. However, I guess there are some people who want to see that - it's just most of us don't. I think the show will be way more interesting if they focus on the younger kids - the mid- kids.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
The show needs to be reformatted. The constant re-showing of things that have already happened season after season is getting old. Sister Wives may very well be solid in the ratings for TLC but that doesn't mean that the show isn't getting stale.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
I agree - since they have become more liberal in showing reruns, rehashing each episode is too much. But I guess that is their way of getting new viewers. If they show what has happened new viewers understand what is going on??
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
They say there is someone for every person, and I am happy for Mykelti that she found her soul mate- but I feel sick just looking at Tony. Can't help it.
Maddie and Caleb seem to get a kick out of reminding their family that they are having sex- a lot, and liking it.
Christine seems pathetically thirsty for Kody's attention. So sad.

Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
I want to watch that episode again because my skeptical eye needs another viewing. Isn't it interesting that Maddie and Caleb used the same terminology when speaking about sex? Actually, the answers that were right were almost all 'exactly' the same, not a variation, the same. ummm
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Remember when they were choosing rooms on their vacation? Maddie and Caleb wanted a yurt so they could be free about making noise during their alone time..
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
I agree with you on Tony..there's just something off about him.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Pretty ironic that the young couples seem to know each other better than the parents. At least based on the silly game questions.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
It was hard to keep score because for one, they edited some or a lot of it out, but I thought Meri did well. Where did Meri end up?
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
She did the best if the wives. Kodys score didn't get factored in at the end. Janelle was last, then Christine, then Robyn, and Meri was best wife. And then Caleb and mykelti tied and Madison and tony tied. Can't remember which mixed oar was first.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Thanks, Maya! I thought Meri did pretty well. What is astounding is the other wives did so poorly. I guess if you analyze the questions, they were geared toward the kids - 'favorite pizza topping', 'favorite body part'
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Meri and Kody tied.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
I think Tony won the tie breaker.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
Maddie and Caleb won, Tony failed on both tie breakers.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
I found it troubling that Kody and company felt comfortable that Tony and Mykelti really know each other so well based on that silly game. sheesh it was a parlor game about favorite pizza toppings and other meaningless stuff. If that's what they see as an indicator of a deep relationship, well I don't know what to say.
Re: 1/15/17 Episode "The Newlyweds vs The Browns" Discussion Thread
But it was just a game, wasn't it and I thought obviously geared toward the kids and not Kody and the Sister Wives. We knew they would get any question right about food.

Season 7 Episode 9 "The Newlyweds vs The Browns"
The Brown family decides to play a game to see who knows each other better: the newlyweds, the newly engaged older kids or Kody and his four wives.
Sounds pretty boring but as long as there's nothing about the catfish crap.
On another note tonight's episode is back to 2 hours.
