Turk, Benman, Jeff.. what will y'all do with your lives without the message boards?! Have ya already got one setup where you can nag at each other all day?

There is a similar thread on Film General which I frequent. I first joined 2 years argo and it was very good and I used to post a lot there. But then gradually got worse and is now overrun by trolls, so I post much less. This board I've been on too long. The individual film boards are generally awful. So only a fraction of my time I now spend on boards. So I'm not at all bothered that they are going, I won't miss them. It is much preferable to converse with real people anyway, at least they don't pretend to be something they aren't. Mostly.

It's for the best, I'd say. Most threads just turn into a pissing match anyway. All the best to ya benman

Not in the least. They were good at one time, but those days are long gone. They are a mess, which people who are up in arms about them closing seem to have forgotten. Closing is probably the best thing for them. It may encourage individuals to communicate with real people.

The real irony is the people concerned over them closing are (part of) the problem. "Please keep the boards open so I can continue trolling them." The signature URL above an example.

Absolutely. It's the trolls who are to blame for the boards closing, now they have nowhere to go.

So having an opinion that's different to you is "trolling" now?
