The Walking Dead : One Thing I Still Don't Understand

One Thing I Still Don't Understand

Is how there are still so many people still alive. Between the Alexandrians, The Saviors, Hilltop, The Kingdom, Oceanside and the GPK'sit's a lot of people. Rick and Co. never ran into this many people in Georgiaand they saw no one from the journey to Georgia to Virginia? They are what, three or four years into the timeline now? It's just crazy how many people are left.

By Grabthar's Hammerwhat a savings.

Re: One Thing I Still Don't Understand

There were always more people around than it seemed. You're living in a world where the best thing to do is keep a low profile, remain out of sight as much as possible. At first it's mostly just the dead that are dangerous. They have the IQ of a cockroach, it never occurs to them that the one completely boarded-up house on the street must have people hiding in it. If they don't see or hear anything from inside they stagger right on by.

But as supplies get harder to come by and warlords like Negan start getting powerful other survivors become the greater threat. You not only have to barricade against walkers but disguise the place so it looks abandoned and too trashed to be worthwhile scavenging there. Either way the landscape looks a lot more barren and lifeless than it is. They may not have seen lots of people on their road trip, but more than one set of eyes undoubtedly watched them drive by.

Right? And while I don't know the actual distance but seems like all the communities are pretty close in proximity so I find it sort of contrive that the alexandrians/Aaron never came across these people from "scouting", but all of a sudden they're coming together now that they need allies to fight Negan.

Re: One Thing I Still Don't Understand

People have just migrated and joined together. Most probably aren't even from Virginia. Rick's got some Texans in his group. Several hundred-odd people out of 350 million (gonna include Canadians)? That's not much. That's far less than 1%.
