I like this one a LOT. I couldn't stand either Emily. I tolerated Lucy and liked Claire a bit, but this one seems to have lots of potential. At least he acted like a jerk at the beginning, and not halfway through the relationship. I see potential here.

Perhaps the best part, for Raj, at least in terms of "reality" for someone like him, is that he doesn't have to actually be a father if Isabella is already done having kids. So he can continue being a child himself.

Isn't Isabella twice his age? It's like dating your own mom.

The actress playing her is 50. Probably somewhere around 15 years difference, so not even one and a half times, let alone two times.

Well the actress is 50, but the character could be late 30s to early 40s and reasonably have a 19-year-old child. Meanwhile Kunal is 35 and Raj is probably about the same or maybe closer to 40. So no, it's not like dating your own mother. Unless your mom had you when she was 10-15 years old. What it could mean though is that all the guys on the show are rather behind in terms of adult development. Which is not a surprise.

Maybe somebody else's mom.

The ACTRESS who plays her is 50 and the ACTOR who plays Raj is 35. But are they intending to write her as a 50 year old character? She could easily pass for 40. But I think all of the characters are written as younger than the actors/actresses. I don't think of Leonard as 41, but Galecki is. I don't think of Sheldon as 43, but Parsons is. When was it that Raj was in the 30 under 30 list? He can't be being written as much over 30 if at all. But then again, the show has been on the air for 10 seasons and the characters had earned doctorates. So, they have to be in their mid thirties. Only Sheldon has been written as having been a child prodigy attending college at an earlier than usual age.

There is an actual age difference between Galecki and Cuoco of 10 years, but you never get the impression from watching the show that there is much of an age difference.

If she had her son when she was a teenager, which is possible, she probably isn't twice his age.

The metrics used to determine those "quality of life" ratings are hardly carved-in-stone objective.

I think it is because the viewers didn't like the other two, and so they wrote them out. They also didn't have much chemistry with Kunal.

And they make him act like he never gets any one, but he's getting a number of chances. It's his own fault for screwing them up. Isabella shouldn't have given him another chance.

The way she finished with the 'now you know how it feels', I'm thinking she may have decided to give Raj her own form of sensitivity training. Then again, she's Cuban and may just want to smoke his cigar.

I really like this one. The others have seemed very immature.

I actually have to blame both the writers and Kunal for this. It's clear they can't write romance for him post-selective mutism because they've had a lot of problems meshing him with Emily and Claire. This time, my guess is he'll get pressure from his family to stop dating Isabella because of her job. It seems artificial to me, and I'm not optimistic. The bigger problem is Kunal doesn't have good chemistry with anybody outside the core group, and he's also the only one we haven't seen do anything of significance outside the show.

He had good chemistry with Lucy (Kate Micucci) but you can't bring her back because that relied heavily on Raj being so afraid of women like he was in the past.

I agree that Kunal does not have good chemistry with a lot of people. I thought Claire had possibilities, but this has better ones in my opinion. At this point I think his parents would just like to see him settle down but I'm not sure.

I know the actress is 50, & might be playing younger, but she looks her age, & acts more like a mother figure to Raj which I find creepy, kind of like the weird 'mother & son' relationship Stuart had with Howard's mom! Too weird!

Well they could say she is 40-45 and explain it with the chemicals taking a toll on her skin.

I got a 'mother vibe' when she said about him eating like a 10 year old, I thought it was a 'motherly' thing to say. Raj, likes to have an older woman to baby him since he acts like a big kid himself.
