Inglourious Basterds : Brad Pit

Brad Pit

evry actor in this movie gave outstanding performances,
why in the hell they hired this bufoon brad pitt who cant even act an accent properly???

Re: Brad Pit

and what was with that dialogue between him and "Master Sgt. Wilhelm:

" me no guns you"

I can't believe Tarantino didn't have that line re-done/recorded. Or maybe QT wrote it exactly that way ? If it wasn't a mistake on Pitts part, what the hell was it ??? Grates on me like finger nails on a black board every time I hear it.

Re: Brad Pitt

It was "no guns me, no guns you." Aldo had just made an agreement with Wilhelm that they would both be unarmed. That was just how Aldo talked and phrased things.

I thought it fit in line perfectly with the character, and that Brad Pitt (to OP, his last name has two T's in it) was brilliant and cast very well in the film.

Re: Brad Pitt

I agree. I think Brad Pitt's acting ability is underestimated, and he is very good in this film.

Re: Brad Pit

I actually think Pitt's accent in IB is one of the best examples of a regional southern accent in a major movie. Most southern accents in movies are generic and not believable. His accent was very specific, East Tennessee Hillbillly. I know people who have a very similar accent to his character in IB.

Re: Brad Pit

Pitt was hilarious. I thought he was perfect in his role

Re: Brad Pit

I think that Eli Roth was a worse casting choice. He just did not come off as the bad-ass that he was supposed to be, I think it was his voice that annoyed me the most.

Re: Brad Pit

Reading through these message boards, I am reminded once again why I absolutely loathe talking film, yet I always make the mistake of checking out what people say on these boards. Maybe I'm a sadist. Every other person on the planet seems to be a raging imbecile. "I hate a film so much that I seek out a message board to tell everyone. Like anyone gives a flying $%^$ what I think."

Re: Brad Pit

In the BLue-Ray Edition of the film BP explains why he speaks in this way, watch it.
I find his performance and accent really good

Re: Brad Pit

This was one of Pitt's finest hours. In on the joke, full throttle.

Re: Brad Pit

LoL all these people fell for your sarcasm.
