A Dog's Purpose : PETA

PETA

I'm an animal lover. I have 3 rescue dogs and I volunteer at a local shelter.
Having said that, I'm NOT a supporter of PETA! These are people who are extremists and they have no qualms about fabricating stories to further their cause and raise money.
If you are truly upset by the viral video they've released, ask yourself why it took them 15 months to release it. They could have done so immediately and either improved the working conditions of the animals on set or shut the production down completely. Instead they waited over a year to coincide with the release date. I wonder how many donations they've racked up by doing so?
Again, I'm a staunch opponent of animal cruelty, but I'm equally opposed to groups that exploit people's love of animals to fill their own coffers.

Re: PETA

Posts like this are why people hate vegans/PETA.

Re: PETA

Found the vegan, guys

Re: PETA

Found the ignorant?

PETA promotes vegetarianism (= animal products in the form of dairy and eggs), kills shelter animals and aims for animal welfare reforms (= continued animal use instead of abolition).

Vegans with half a brain don't support PETA at all.

Re: PETA

Thumbs up! After seeing the video, reading multiple versions of on-set experiences and considering the timeline of recording-to-release of the video, I decided to support this movie. BTW, I wasn't the only onethe movie theater in Burbank, CA was full. Here's to common sense!

Re: PETA

Actually, the movie was sold out in every single theater in Burbank on opening night! I know; we brought our son, daughter in law and their two kids to see it. (They LOVED it.)

For PETA to have any credibility in this, one would have to assume that over 150 people had no professionalism, morals or ethics and chose to keep silent for over a year. One would have to assume that every single one of those professional crew members would not pick up the phone and anonymously report the abuse on any number of hotlines. No one did because no one had to.

The only people who are emerging from this situation with no ethics or morals are PETA, who have now proven that they would rather put animals to death than see them helping the blind, sniffing out trapped citizens beneath rubble or working on movie sets. They will do ANYTHING for a buck, as is coming out loud and clear.

Sadly, they made a serious mistake and this negative publicity has not only made them a laughingstock but will cause so many of their thinking, common-sense supporters to question why they give money to an animal shelter that kills 90% of the animals that get turned in to their "shelter" and shovels their dead bodies into a landfill.

Re: PETA

PETA is a terrorist organization.

PETA is a terrorist organization.

Yup. They have openly supported it.

Re: PETA

PETA is a total scam orginization. Who the hell is still supporting them. The kill over 90% of the animals they rescue.

Re: PETA

This isn't about PETA. But thank you for adding nothing of value to the discussion.

Re: PETA

Who the hell do you think started this or paid for the video to be edited?

This thread is about PETA.Read the title.

PETA is an organization dedicated to exterminating animals (that's what they mean by "ethical treatment," I suppose. Their motto is "Better off Dead." They aren't just nut jobs, they are criminals.

For a very mild sample of their activities, see https://www.petakillsanimals.com.
