A Dog's Purpose : Everyone's freaking out about the video but what about…

The condition that these dogs are kept in while they are not filming? I refuse to see the movie for THIS reason. All the dogs from this movie are from a compant called Birds and Animals unlimited. Every time I look into the company, this is all I find:

"Birds and Animals Unlimited, the company that supplied dogs for the film ? revealed that dogs were kept in barren kennels and forced to sleep outside in the cold, animals were denied adequate food so that they would be hungry while being trained to do tricks, and other animals were denied adequate veterinary care and made to live in filthy conditions,?

If that's not sick enough to make you not want to see this movie, I dont know what is.

I have read the book, and was dying to see the movie.but it is with a heavy heart that I decided I will never see this film. The movie makers aren't getting a dime from me, when they can't even bother to get their animals from a reputable company that treats them with dignity while not filming.

This information comes from PETA and cannot be taken as truth. They are longime providers of "fake news" with "alternative facts" galore! Also, the animals involved in the movie may very well not have lived on the BAU premises at all. Animal movie agencies also act as "agents" for people who have trained dogs or other animals that can perform in films, and they are a go-between who provide the legal and insurance services etc. and take a cut of the animal's income earned, but the animal lives with its owner/trainer.

This was the case when a high profile film made not far from where I lived, with big name stars, hired via an agency (maybe BAU) a local trainer who had the right breed and size of dog they were looking for. The dog was a house pet that performed many different stunts and was easily taught several new ones for the film. At no time did the dog live in any kind of kennel, the agency was just the intermediary.

I appreciate the information. I'm really trying to figure out what to believe with all of this. I know the information is from PETAI am not one who tends to side with them on things, but it was the only information that was available to me and it sickened me. I've done research into it, trying to find out more information but that statement just kept popping up everywhere. Your comment gives me a bit of hope
