Scott and his family still live in California ( I think that's where) so he works 5 less episodes a year so he can spend more time with them.Good for his family,bad for the viewers that want him in every scene.(probably just me )

Scott Caan renegotiated his contract. He now is contracted to appear in five less episodes each season. He lives permanently in Los Angeles and commutes to HI for 3 weeks each month during filming. The actor has multiple projects in the mix as well as his young family in LA.

scott doesn't like hawaii that much, and his wife had a baby last year.sometimes he has other projects on the mainland

Scott is a vampire. He was turned by Kiefer Sutherland back in the 80s. There's only so much sun he can endure so he has a limited shooting schedule.

I am such an idiot, I didn't even realize James Caan was his dad. Loved him in. Las Vegas, and I agree Scott is a lot like his dad.

he's been on talk shows stating he isn't a fan of hawaii. but it's a great gig he has. unless he has something coming up next this big for his career, he sounds like he doesnt know how good he has it.
