That's my thoughts after watching The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey tonight. Tolkien wasn't spoiled by the up-to-date technology of today and the latter part of the 20th Century. He was a 'medievalist' interested in those ancient times and that's prevalent in the literary works he left behind. Cheers to you, Tolkien!
