Re: Rita

I liked the joke about jam. Mrs Donahue didn't give you jam because she thought you needed jam but because of her inner needs. A paraphrase.

Re: Rita

She and Frankie are more alike than they are different. That is clear to me.

Re: Rita

Rita's great and I love the way Brooke plays her.

Re: Rita

I kept thinking when they stopped at the little store after Rita tossed her thing out the window (Forgot what they're called) Rita was going to steal Frankie's car when Frankie was trying to tell the 2 cops about her, and leave her stranded there. Lol. And did Mike ever find out any of this? He didn't seem to notice that Frankie went "missing." Lol

Re: Rita

An ankle monitor.

Also, I agree with the OPthis is my new favourite Rita Glossner episode. It showed a new side to the character and highlighted the similarities she and Frankie share that Frankie never considered.

Re: Rita

Frankie may never have considered them similar, but the viewers have called that for years now. Frankie is far, far closer to Rita than she is to, say, Nancy Donahue.

Re: Rita

I thought that was Brooke Shields.

Re: Rita

Brooke really does an outstanding job as Rita. I'm impressed she is so willing to lose herself so in this "white trash" type of character. She's a hoot in the role.

Re: Rita

There was also an earlier episode in which Frankie saw Rita with her four misbehaving sons and not having enough money to pay at the supermarket check out. Frankie sensed Rita's struggle.

In another episode Derrick Glossner said Sue was rich because she only had one father.

The Glossners are crude but not unsympathetic.

Re: Rita

Brooke does such great job at loosing herself as her character. She is so funny. It was great when she said that her and Frankie are similar. Lol
