The Walking Dead : Who is the mystry woman?
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
well?
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
I was wondering the same thing, the group from the end of the episode, was it the group from Oceanside? Or entirely new group?
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
I got the impression that Rick realized they weren't Saviors, and they could be added to his "Army".

Re: Who is the mystry woman?
I've read that in several places. That doesn't make sense to me. As far as Rick knows in that situation he and his group are in trouble. Why would he be smiling?
If there is a Muslim ban, they can pretend they're Christians. You know, like Republicans do.

Re: Who is the mystry woman?
He's thinking guns, lots and lots of guns! And Not Saviors. Very important, that part. This isn't the Oceanside group. Different people, and there were men there too, although the leader appears to be a woman. So far guns are the one thing they don't have many of. Hilltop doesn't have them. The Kingdom won't provide them. But lo and behold, another element is about to drop into place. It's been a productive if hectic couple of days for Rick Grimes.
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
On last night's Talking Dead, Greg Nicotero gave a response that in in line with Haze58's theory. Nicotero even stated that he thought the reasoning behind Rick's smile was obvious, but he gave the explanation in his own words. He said that this episode showed a series of something bad followed by something good.
Gregory shot down Rick's proposal to join forces to train and fight against Negan. They were then confronted by the citizens of Hilltop that they were inspired and wanted to learn how to fight back.
Ezekiel turned down Rick's proposal in the same manner, but Richard informed Rick that their townspeople were also eager to fight for their freedom.
So when Rick's group was surrounded by this new group with guns, he was confident that things would turn around and this would lead to another positive outcome.

Re: Who is the mystry woman?
Because they weren't Saviors and they had weapons. He sees them as possible allies.
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
That is what I got from it, the group can be helpful to Rick and his crew.
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
Lori Grimes. She is leading woman army from Hell to help her husband. That is why Rick smiled upon seeing her.
Re: Who is the mystry woman?

Re: Who is the mystry woman?
Did you even bother paying attention while you were watching the show? I know it was a very poorly written episode but FFS
Rick kept saying the whole episode that Gabriel wouldn't just steal their supplies and run off, right? This was kind of the theme of the whole episode. Everyone else thought he did but Rick knew Gabriel wouldn't do that to them and had some other motive. Very likely Gabriel was actually with the other group or Rick just assumed by Gabriels BOAT message he left behind that Gabriel had traded the supplies to the boat people to enlist them in the fight against Negan. It's hardly even a mystery.
Though Rick could be totally wrong and just making assumptions that will be proven untrue, such as is often the case still, it's what's in his head at that moment.
The real mystery to me is who was in the car with Gabriel when he left? I didn't even catch it myself but the person I was watching it with sure did and started exclaiming excitedly so i'll assume it actually happened.
Enjoy, again!

Re: Who is the mystry woman?
Yes that is what Rick said. You may be right.
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
It is really simple. Rick smiled because he looked past the immediate threat and saw them as an addition to his army- since they were clearly not Saviors.
Re: Who is the mystry woman?
No. Its somebody he knows.
Who is the mystry woman?
From the smile that Rick gave it looked like he regonized her.
Some folks said Rick smile because there is another group that wants to fightI don't buy that.
Another theory is, its Carol,,,,hmmm mabey?
If its not 1 of these theorys I can't think of anyone in the past of the show that couldve shown up. Every good person they have met is dead or with the group.
Anyone have a good guess?
