Discuss Classic Films at The Movie Database (TMDb)

IMDB is shutting down the message boards on 2/20/17 but you can register and join The Movie Database (TMDb) and talk about films at: https://www.themoviedb.org

Just click on the discussions bubble on the left side of the screen of any film.

The Movie Database (TMDb) is a community built movie and TV database. Every piece of data has been added by our amazing community dating back to 2008. TMDb's strong international focus and breadth of data is largely unmatched and something we're incredibly proud of. Put simply, we live and breath community and that's precisely what makes us different.

Say bye to IMBD and join https://www.themoviedb.org

Ok, thanks, I will.

Re: Discuss Classic Films at The Movie Database (TMDb)

I did.

Re: Discuss Classic Films at The Movie Database (TMDb)

I have registered for this as well. I like the overall format but it needs more people. There are other people from IMDB signing up.

There's no speech bubble on the left when you view the site on an iPhone. You have to hold on the 'x' on the right of the address field and then hit 'request desktop site' when the option pops up, then you can get the speech balloon. Well, maybe you don't if you aren't logged in. I was.

Sorry, I didn't stop to realize the mobile version is different. I hope many of us on IMDB can find a new home. Either this page or somewhere else.

Re: Discuss Classic Films at The Movie Database (TMDb)

It's got a board for every film and general discussion boards and it wasn't born yesterday. Best candidate I've seen so far.

Re: Discuss Classic Films at The Movie Database (TMDb)

It's very enterprising of you, but the discussion part is too hidden. Lots of people won't see it, and it would be nice to know if there are conversations already. Often people won't go to the message board, but will be attracted by a thread title they see, eg "Worst movie ever", "How can people like this crap?" and other ever-popular ones.
