Timeless : So they just roll with it, huh?

So they just roll with it, huh?

Watched 2 episodes, and in just 2 episodes, they brought massive catastrophic change in history, and the higher ups just roll with it? "Take it as a win." . WHAT WIN WOMAN Every single change can affect history, especially a 150 year old history A knocked over barrel, a broken nail in the middle of the road, some black guys interacting with a future black guy, and making him write a note instead of casually taking the patrol as they were supposed to?

I am surprised nobody is worried about how gigantic the changes would be except for Lucy, who is a historian.

Also, isnt it ridiculously stupid, that Lucy now exists in a present where she is not supposed to, because hidenberg incident? I mean, the entire lineage changed, because someone who was supposed to die in hidenberg, lived. In fact, it's a sham that even Lucy's mom exists in the world, because she is supposed to be a grand daughter of someone else, not the one who survived in the crash

Re: So they just roll with it, huh?

They figure the changes made while stopping Flinn aren't as bad as the changes Flinn would have made. If they were really worried about how every single change can affect history they wouldn't have built the time machine in the first place.

There's a logical reason why Lucy still exists and why she has the mother she does it will become clear later.

Re: So they just roll with it, huh?

the higher ups just roll with it?
=====================================
In case you haven't noticed, the higher-ups don't have much integrity. Mason is just pre-occupied with the success of his machine. Some of the others are in the pay of Rittenhouse. One is a stubborn director who keeps ignoring what's going on unless somebody beats her over the head with it.

Re: So they just roll with it, huh?

The higher-ups are a bunch of corrupt tools, this will become more obvious once you watch more of the show. Don't take things at face value.

Re: So they just roll with it, huh?

That's just your interpretation.

This work of FICTION doesn't need to rely on the Butterfly Effect to tell its story since time travel doesn't exist in real life.

They can apply ANY theory to their FICTIONAL story.

Re: So they just roll with it, huh?

There's no reason to believe Lucy should not exist. They said nothing of her entire lineage being changed.

As for the rest, watching more episodes will tell you.

Re: So they just roll with it, huh?

I believe the OP is drawing an incorrect conclusion from the scene where Jiya tells Lucy her parents (as she remembers them) didn't marry, as far as she can tell they never met, and Henry married someone else.
