24: Legacy : To every 24 fan

To every 24 fan

So to everyone who won't watch 24 without Kiefer Sutherland,it means 1 of 2 things that all of you were never 24 fans or you are all a bunch of thickos.

Re: To every 24 fan

I am definitely going to watch it and to the people who are not going to watch it I don't care.

Re: To every 24 fan

I will give it a go. 24 has always been about Chloe and Jack but so long as it keeps the same theme and stays true to 24 then I can't see it going wrong. If people decide to boycott because the lead isn't Sutherland then that's their problem.

Re: To every 24 fan

I see it's already been rated a bunch of times although no one has seen it yet. Funny eh?!

Re: To every 24 fan

4.9/10 from '186 IMDb users' - I've not rated it, it's not out -yet- or something. Btw., it totally makes NO sense to have 24 without Jack Bauer, no matter how it's rationalized!..;)

However, making complete TRASH like 24: Live Another Day didn't -really- make sense either. So, perhaps it was time for a change! :)

Edit: I'm just hoping for no BULL digital gun shots, like in Banshee for example (horrible).

*Because which DIMWIT thinks they've done a good job with it, for crying out loud

Re: To every 24 fan

I get what you're saying but at least it's not just called 24. They've added Legacy to the title to differentiate. Other shows have spin-offs. Look at Star Trek as a classic example. I bet people said 'It's not Star Trek without Kirk as the captain'.

Re: To every 24 fan

I find it interesting that they're playing the PC diversity card and putting a black guy in the lead role. Now every show it seems has to have their share of token black and gay performers/performances.

Re: To every 24 fan

This is NOT the original 24, is not meant to be. Hence, NO JACK BAUER. Why is it anytime a primary character is not White it's

playing the PC diversity card

?

That's ignorant, racist sh!t. Most people on the planet ore not White, or is that news to you? YOU'RE (et al) the token

Very well stated, and absolutely correct.

I have a very low tolerance for stupid so if I ignore you it's nothing personal.

Re: To every 24 fan

LAD was one of the best seasons.you have sht taste.

Re: To every 24 fan

I can see it going wrong if Legacy isn't as compelling, wither in story or in character, as Sutherland's 24 was. In watching the trailer, I wasn't impressed, personally speaking.

Re: To every 24 fan

Don't be stupid Jack Bauer is 24

Re: To every 24 fan

Who's the showrunner? Is this being produced by an entirely different team of people? If so that's a pretty big reason not to watch. Seasons 7&8 and LAD are reasons not to watch for me. This formula was expired years ago.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

Re: To every 24 fan

That 'Showrunner' you trash talk at are the same people who write 24 since day one.

and wtf is ss7 and LAD are reason not to watch anyway? LAD and season 7 was better than season 6,8 and that's fact. stop having *beep* taste.

Re: To every 24 fan

Agree.

Re: To every 24 fan

Agree too.

Re: To every 24 fan

"This formula was expired years ago"

Correct, I checked my old series' dvds and the expiration date was May 2006 after season V

Re: To every 24 fan

24 is the idea not the man why don't people understand that.

Re: To every 24 fan

Oh they understand totally. But see, it became the Jack Bauer show from S1 and viewers got hooked mainly by the Character, not by the format. There can be a show with Bauer, without the real time thing. Right Jack Bauer without 24 instead of 24 without Bauer. But now that with Designated Survivor it makes this 24 Legacy sort of passe.

Re: To every 24 fan

Of course, this is entirely and only your presumption but you're welcome to it.

Re: To every 24 fan

Somebody put this retard down like a dog.

Re: To every 24 fan

The probably don't know how Michelle is , who Kate Warner and Audrey Raines is.
They don't remember Gaines and Ira.

They don't remember President Charles or Edgar

They don't remember a Chase Edmunds
Or othet crazy things that happened besides Jack Bauer.

Re: To every 24 fan

or Nina Myers or George Mason LOL

Re: To every 24 fan

Or Ryan Chapel or any of Kimberly's love interests.

Re: To every 24 fan

Looking forward to this. Hope it's as good as the original. The original had a great starting episode I will always remember.

Re: To every 24 fan

I always liked 24 for it's popcorn action and silly stories. The problems with the show arrive when I actually think about the plot and various plot holes and ridiculous side stories that accompanied the usual badassary of Jack and his team. I gave this first episode a try and it didn't really grip me. Average at best is the review I would give.

Re: To every 24 fan

Perfectly fine with all new people in a 24 reboot. Looked forward to it.

It was pretty sad. A few cool elements but not even half as cool as original. The high school part was far better than everything else. The show feels forced. Hard to believe it is still Surnow and Coto.

Re: To every 24 fan

You're assuming people who watched it because of Kiefer Sutherland give two *beep* what you think Snowflake.

Re: To every 24 fan

The snowflakes are the people like you bitching about it

Re: To every 24 fan

I get what you're saying, but it sounds like you're just rallying blind fanboyism.

A true "fan" isn't someone who loves absolutely everything with their beloved label on it (24, X-Men, Star Wars, Resident Evil games, etc) a true fan is someone that despite their love for the franchise they can own up to when things have either declined or have seriously strayed from what made the franchise so great to begin with.

I'm not implying that the new 24 is a decline or has "strayed"but I am implying that Jack/Keifer was *one* of the biggest reasons why 24 was as good as it was, so to not have him around definitely leaves a big hole that's tough to fill. If fans don't respond well to his absence after viewing the show then they should be allowed to voice their disappointment, not be told "Well then I guess you didn't really like 24 that much in the first place."

My personal example is Dragonball. The original and Z were great and formed the cooler tropes of what anime is known for todayBUT there are tons of bad DB games, an awful live-action movie, and of course: GT and Super. They all suck by comparison. They've disappointed and undelivered on the elements that made the show so lovable. Does that mean I was never a big Dragonball fan? No, it means I just don't like garbage.

Re: To every 24 fan

One of things you talk about how the Jack/Kiefer aspect of 24 was the reason it was so good that's true but 24 has to be given a chance to prove itself with the new guy.

Re: To every 24 fan

Most 24 fans are actually Jack Bauer fans.

Re: To every 24 fan

I'm a fan of everything 24 even the new guy.

Re: To every 24 fan

I have to admit I watched it for Jack Bauer, well, actually Kiefer. When I re-watched the DVDs I usually fast forwarded to Kiefer parts since I know what's going to happen.
